Bice Delegation for Europe & CIS aims to give to each child his or her childhood.
Its work is based on a child rights approach, i.e. the conviction that the child is a ‘subject of rights' instead of an ‘object of assistance'. He/she can be the protagonist of his/her own life and is entitled to demand respect of his/her rights, instead of begging for help. Children can contribute to the change in society.
Bice's projects promote the integral growth of children, based on their potential and resources. This is the concept of resilience which is a guiding principle of our work.
Bice Delegation for Europe & CIS acts as a platform of reflection and catalyst to promote and defend the rights of children in the region.
Currently the Delegation for CIS & Europe implements pilot projects and/or network projects with partners in Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Moldova.
Its main areas of action are for the moment children with disabilities, children in conflict with the law and children who are victims of violence and sexual abuse.
